The Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand is a political party which contributes to the development of society. It cares about human beings and their future.

The Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand has a long history. It is a political party that can be traced back to the Values Party which was established in 1972 at a meeting at Victoria University of Wellington. It has had, and still has many policies aiming to solve various problems in the society. They include policies directly focusing on human beings such as ‘Human Rights – For a Tolerant Diverse Society’ and a policy relating to the environment called the ‘Sea and Ocean Policy’. The first policy here calls on people to treat everyone equally. The second one asks for people to protect the sea.

The Green Party has many events and campaigns, hoping that New Zealanders will join them as a member and vote for them. One campaign guarantees warm houses for people. Another campaign hopes that problems about climate change can be worked on, and sorted.
