OOS means occupational overuse syndrome.
OOS is when your arms or shoulders or wrists get sore because you have been working on a computer or a machine.
‘Occupational’ comes from the word ‘occupation’. This word means ‘work’.
Overuse means that you have been using the computer or machine for too long.
Syndrome means an illness.
When you work on a computer or a machine have quick breaks every 12 or 15 minutes.
Having a short break will prevent you from getting OOS.
When you have a break stand up and shake your arms.
When you have a break walk around a bit.
At a computer, to prevent yourself from getting OOS make sure your chair is at the correct height also.
