The Situation: Jim and Fleur are two production workers. They work in a car part factory. They are talking about work and about how to do a good job. In their conversation they refer to Paul who is their team leader.

Jim: So, has Paul asked you to come and have your performance appraisal yet?
Fleur: Yes… next week on Wednesday in the afternoon.
Jim: Now remember that he may ask you about your attitude to work.
Fleur: My what?
Jim: Your attitude.
Fleur: What is that?
Jim: He wants to know about things like how well you work in a team, how well you like your work and how positive you are about this company.
Fleur: Oh I get it. So I just tell him about how great a person I am and things like that…. and the things I am not happy about too at work?
Jim: Yes, he will be asking you about both the positives and the negatives.
