Description: Some grammar work about clauses and words ending in -ed
Instructions: Read this short article. Then in the questions find the right word to complete the sentences.
Clauses ending in –ed have a passive meaning.
e.g. The boy injured in the accident was taken to the doctor.
The car wrecked by the bomb was a right off.
The athlete tired by the run lost the next race.
Be careful here – many verbs do not have –ed endings as past participles e.g. blow, blown.
The tree blown down in the storm blocked the road for two days.
