Due to pollution and harmful UV rays people suffer from heart diseases, strokes and cancer. Scientists blame ‘free radicals’ for this. As we grow older our cells oxidize and produce free radicals and these radicals damage healthy cells. Although ageing is a natural process, these radicals increase the rate of ageing.
How do we stop these free radicals? The answer is antioxidants. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals and prevent cell oxidation. Tea contains a high level of antioxidants. Once an antioxidant is used it cannot be used again so the body needs to be re-supplied, thus it is recommended to drink tea.
