Working Policy

All staff are expected to be ready to begin their work promptly at the different starting times throughout the day. They are expected to work hard all the time at work. They are allowed breaks to rest mid-morning, at lunchtime and mid-afternoon.

Job Standards

All staff are required to arrive at work before the starting time and be at their work area, ready to begin work at the starting time. This applies equally to tea and lunch breaks. Late-coming is not acceptable. It is also not acceptable to be wandering about your Department with drinks and food after the starting time. All employees are required to work to the best of their abilities during work hours.

Procedure

If you are unable to start work promptly at the starting time because of exceptional circumstances, then you are to:
A: Personally make contact with your Manager first thing in the morning, and explain your absence and likely time of arrival
B: On your arrival at work, report to your Manager
